Each year the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC meets to assess progress in dealing with man-made climate change on a global scale and since 2009 WAGGGS has taken a delegation of young women along to the negoLeah blog COP18tiations. At the conference, the girls and young women lobby decision-makers, attend and run side events, network with other NGOs working on the environment and carry out actions to ensure no-one can forget the negative effect climate change is having on our world and all of our lives.

On 5 November 2013, this year's group of passionate climate change advocates head out to Warsaw, Poland to represent WAGGGS at the Climate Change Conference COP 19.

Why not read their delegate bios and get to know them a bit better?

Whether you don't feel you've been directly affected by climate change or you see the negative impacts every day, your support will keep the delegate's energy up and make their voices heard. They will be speaking out on behalf of 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to decision makers from around the world, pushing to get girls and young women recognised as agents of change in the fight against climate change.

So keep checking in to this space, get involved, keep an eye out for their blogs and daily videos and support them as they embark on this great adventure!
