WAGGGS Medals
The WAGGGS Medal is given to express gratitude to individuals within the Movement who have given remarkable service of an exceptional nature at both national and world levels to, and for the benefit of, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Recent recipients of the WAGGGS Medal are:
- Ekbal Kamel from Egypt was awarded the Bronze Medal at the Arab Regional Committee in 2004.
- Monika Fabjan from Austria was awarded a Bronze Medal at the WAGGGS Europe Regional Conference (Iceland) in April 2004 by Kirsty Gray.
- Judy Waters from Canada and Mary Dawson from New Zealand were awarded the WAGGGS medal at the 32nd World Conference in Jordan in 2005.
- Leslie Wright from the United States of America was awarded a Bronze Medal at the WAGGGS Western Hemisphere Regional Conference 2007 in Canada.
- Martine Lévy from France was awarded a Bronze Medal at the WAGGGS Africa Regional Conference 2007 in Zambia.
- Elspeth Henderson from Ireland was awarded WAGGGS Silver Medal at the 33rd World Conference in South Africa for her extraordinary service to WAGGGS for more than three decades.
