Our Partners

COP15.jpgThe World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts works with many national, regional and international organizations and alliances to further its mission to enable girls and young women to develop to their fullest potential and become responsible citizens of the world.

Through partnership with UN agencies, other non-governmental organizations, governments and private companies, WAGGGS is able to:

  • enable the collective voice of girls and young women to be heard on the world stage and to influence issues that are important to them
  • provide more leadership opportunities for girls and young women at world and regional levels
  • empower girls and young women through quality programmes and development opportunities
  • bring Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting to more girls who might otherwise be excluded

United Nations

WAGGGS has been a UN partner for over 60 years. We work with the United Nations (UN) and many UN agencies through volunteer teams in Geneva, Nairobi, New York, Paris, Rome and Vienna. WAGGGS was awarded ECOSOC consultative status and signed several Memorandums of Understanding with UN agencies, for example with UNICEF and FAO. Find out more about how WAGGGS is working with the UN.
